Life is not a competition

No need to confess, but I’d like to admit that I’m so far from perfect. Feeling a sense of inferiority, jealousy, self-hatred occurs in my everyday life.

However, today I encountered a phrase “Life is not a competition”. To be honest, I thought it sounds cheesy and trite since it is one of hackneyed phrases. I usually ignore this kind of self-help type expression. But, it sounds a bit different to me today. I still don’t know why.

Now I’m thinking that “If it is not a competition, what life is”. In this modern and industrialized life, it is almost impossible to see ourselves, relative to others. There are general factors such a salary, a car, the size of a house, wife, husband, height, I can continue to write out forever.

Anyway, I don’t think that I should drop out competitions, but it is worth to have a time, like two or three hours, to allow me to be free from endless fightings in win or lose, or defeat or be beaten up narrative.
